A Day in the Life of Being a Banjo.

  1. That is one very very tired puppy...I think I too am still recovering from our 3 days of hiking adventures together. But just like Banjo I am dreaming about our next big hike and the adventures to follow.

  6. Banjo is a beautiful dog, I love those eye patches.

My fishing companion is Buddy. Like Banjo, he's always there when I turn around, laying behind my chair or building a bonfire out of sticks that he's expecting to get thrown. Great company.

  7. Banjo! He looks like he means business when he is having fun :) It is serious stuff, watching his humans. Goooood puppy.

  9. sgb - Now I'm counting the days til October!

Brk Trt - It is....very good!

Ankur - If you Google Nederland, Colorado, it is in the mountains (Indian Peaks Wilderness) west of it. Someday, if you come to the US, you should come on an adventure with Banjo and I! Gluten free snacks! :)

Cofisher - I'm the lucky one...he does much more for me than I for him...

Sanders - He comes back from these adventures pooped and for the next few days sleeps soundly, but has vivid dreams where he barks and yips and his little paws move and run. I'm pretty sure he's thinking about the mountain meadows he loves. :)

Dave - Indeed....he's quite handsome, eh? ;) There's nothing like having a furry fishing companion like Buddy or Banjo. Even when Banjo gets excited and tangled in my leader, I'd still much rather have him there with me. The best of company.

d.nash - Well this post really must have made you smile!? ;) Oh yes, he is very serious about his humans. He doesn't like us around too swift of water, and if we get too spread out, he runs back and forth to each one of us to make sure we're ok. Herding instincts kicking in, and we're his sheep!

    penbayman - It's exhausting!

HighPlainsFlyFisher - Me too! When I was a kid I thought a cat would be delightful to be -- to curl up in a patch of sun and sleep and stretch and yawn (this, when I was tired of doing schoolwork -- cats don't have to do schoolwork!) But dogs have more fun. I'd love being a dog.

  10. I would love to frame these pics of one of the best dogs I have ever met. Although I have to admit that my all time favorite has to be the eyes and ears at the edge of the table.

  11. Hart - Ha! "ears at the edge of the table"...that's The Butter Boy in his element. There isn't any butter at high lakes!
